1. The initial conversation

This first step is about understanding the scope of your project and how you want your home to function and feel. We take the time to listen carefully to your goals, your priorities and any existing plans or approvals. We discuss your lifestyle, budget, timeline and level of finish so we can clearly understand what matters most to you.

We will also talk through site conditions, buildability, potential constraints and opportunities, ensuring expectations are aligned from the outset. This stage lays the groundwork for a transparent and well-managed construction process, setting clear objectives for cost, program and delivery.

2. Concept development

After understanding your vision, we collaborate with architects, designers, certifiers, engineers and other consultants to assist with the concept. If you already have designs, we bring practical construction knowledge into the conversation.

This is the phase where we review any architectural drawings, provide preliminary cost guidance and gather your feedback for any refinements. We will also discuss materials, finishes and structural considerations with you, coordinating with specialists along the way.

3. Detailed planning and costing

With a refined concept in place, we move into detailed planning. A comprehensive cost estimate is provided to you that outlines inclusions, allowances and specifications. Transparency is essential here and we want you to feel confident understanding where your budget is being invested.

We also establish:

  • A detailed construction schedule

  • Clear communication channels

  • Documentation required for council approvals (if applicable)

4. The construction phase

The construction phase is where planning comes to life. It encompasses every stage of the build, from site preparation and excavation through to foundations, framing and roofing. External elements such as cladding and windows are carefully installed, shaping both the structure and character of the home.

Internally, this is where the spaces begin to take form. Walls and ceilings are constructed, insulation is installed, essential services are integrated and the interior fit-out unfolds.

During the construction you will hear from us often. We love to provide our clients with regular updates, flagging any key decisions while keeping you informed of progress on site. You will have access to our project management and specifications platforms where you can track progress, view timelines, approve selections and communicate with your North Shore or Northern Beaches building team. These platforms help keep everything organised and transparent.

You will also have a dedicated project manager and scheduled meetings will be held at key milestones to review the construction progress, discuss any concerns and make any adjustments.

5. Final walk-through and client handover

During your final walk-through, we provide a comprehensive handover pack including warranties, manuals and maintenance information. We walk you through the home, explaining systems and answering any questions you might have.

6. Beyond completion

After completion, we remain available to our clients, and we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built through maintaining strong relationships long after the keys have been handed over.
